Moritz's "Young Aira" concept had four expressions that I thought were perfect to use as a study.
I created a neutral expression on my own based on his concepts and used FACS units as a starting point for each of the four expressions.

This was my first time focusing on facial expressions, and I had a blast making them. Learning about FACS and various facial movements has been incredibly useful, and seeing the neutral face emote feelings was a lot of fun.

I had the benefit of receiving feedback from incredibly talented friends and artists during the making of this. Thank you very much to everyone who chimed in when I asked for feedback!

Made using ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag 4, and Photoshop.
